Environmental Education: The purpose of environmental education is to make one aware of nature and the environment around them. It should instill a sense of wonder and excitement in nature and the protection of our environment. | |
| Purpose: Lower Southampton Elementary School, in the Neshaminy School District, has been established as an official Backyard and Schoolyard Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. The habitat project provides opportunities for the students, staff, parents, community, and businesses to learn about, and protect, our environment while becoming actively involved in maintaining the wildlife habitat. It will provide a learning lab for all that choose to become involved in the rewards of gardening and observing nature. | |
