Principal Message: 

It is a true privilege to serve as the Lower South Elementary School principal.  As a proud graduate of Neshaminy, I am enjoying the opportunity to give back to the school district and community that inspired me and gave me the enthusiasm for teaching and learning.  Lower Southampton Elementary School is committed to creating a shared culture of respect and responsibility where children feel confident in themselves and in taking educational risks within the classroom.  The staff continues to meet the needs of students through differentiated instruction, studying best practices within education, and by setting long and short term goals for the school as well as our students.  Together with parents, we will remain dedicated to teaching students the importance of respect, responsibility and making good choices in and outside of school.   Lower South staff members are dedicated to nurturing the unique individual inside all of our students.  Together, we work diligently to prepare our children to be caring, responsible human beings, skilled communicators, and life-long learners. We incorporate the Olweus Anti-Bullying program into our daily school day by modeling appropriate behavior, providing opportunities for classroom meetings, and through ongoing discussions that focus on the importance of making appropriate decisions.

It is evident that parents, students and teachers have focused on learning throughout the years at Lower South.  I plan to uphold that high standard and will work hard to continue to improve the academic gains of all of our students. You can help us by supporting your child’s learning at home. Ensure that they have a place to study every night, practicing their basic math facts, and that your child is reading each and every night. There are wonderful worlds to explore in children’s literature, and your child can learn to love and enjoy reading with the proper coaching and guidance.  

Your active involvement is very important to all of us and in particular, it shows that you value your child’s learning. Through the foundation of strong home and school connections, students have been able to focus on academic, social and emotional success.  The Lower South PTA continues to provide wonderful educational opportunities for our students while also organizing events that bring our community together. I encourage you to be a part of the PTA and to attend and support some of the many functions that are offered to help strengthen these community connections.
